Job summary

SYS-MAC AUTOMATION ENGINEERING PTE LTD seeks a capable Project Engineer to lead planning, coordination and execution of projects from kick-off through commissioning and customer acceptance, ensuring timelines, budget and quality standards are met.

You will gather customer requirements, coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, monitor progress, and support site installation, testing and troubleshooting. Travel overseas ~10% is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Good technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Independent, self-motivated, resourceful and well-organized.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good presentation and coordination skills.
• Willing to travel overseas for project assignments at short notice (approximately 10%).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities from project kick-off through commissioning and customer acceptance.
• Gather and understand customer requirements, technical specifications, project schedules and deliverables.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution.
• Monitor project progress, material costs and labour hours against the allocated budget and schedule.
• Coordinate and resolve technical and project-related issues, escalating complex matters to the Project Manager or HODs when required.
• Lead customer communication, project meetings, issue tracking and progress reporting.
• Support site installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist Sales in RFQs, technical proposals and other project-related assignments.
