Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineer for a global power generation and data centre project portfolio across APAC. You will collaborate with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver end-to-end engineering solutions, from concept through commissioning.

This role emphasizes technical problem-solving, project execution and cross-functional coordination; travel may be required to support onsite activities and overseas teams.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Relevant engineering experience in power generation, marine/shipping, automation, oil & gas, industrial equipment or similar industries.
• Experience with electro-mechanical systems and engineering project execution.
• Strong ability to interpret and develop technical drawings, schematics, layouts and engineering documentation.
• Knowledge of either electrical or mechanical systems, with cross-discipline capability.
• Experience with engineering calculations, equipment sizing or technical evaluations.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software.
• Strong communication and coordination with customers, suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
• Willingness to travel overseas or support onsite project activities.
• Candidates with direct diesel genset, data centre, switchgear or power protection experience will have an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end engineering execution for power generation projects, from project award through installation, testing and commissioning.
• Develop mechanical and electrical engineering solutions for diesel genset enclosure systems.
• Work closely with sales teams to define technical scope and review customer specifications and tender documents.
• Develop technical specifications, equipment requirements and scope of supply.
• Coordinate with factories, suppliers and contractors to align technical requirements and obtain quotations.
• Develop electrical, automation and mechanical designs, including drawings, schematics, P&IDs and technical documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical evaluations for equipment sizing and performance.
• Review and approve engineering documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards.
• Support procurement activities, supplier development and purchase requisition processes.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot electrical, automation and mechanical issues throughout project execution.
• Support onsite installation, testing, commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST) when required.
• Drive design reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across projects.
