Job summary

ByteDance Singapore offers an internship with the Global Payment team, providing hands-on experience in building robust payment systems. You will work on software architecture, coding, testing, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.

As an intern, you’ll develop practical skills in payments, financial processes, and modern development practices while participating in learning programs and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in software development, CS, or related technical discipline.
• Strong programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general-purpose languages.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; self-starter.
• Agile mindset with product ownership and problem-solving.
• Able to collaborate in a fast-moving, globally distributed team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture for global payment systems;
• Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle;
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code;
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting;
• Review and debug code; Perform validation and verification testing;
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to fix and improve our products;
• Document development phases and monitor systems;
• Ensure software is up-to-date with latest technologies
