Job summary
Google is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer to drive deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will collaborate with PMs, network and design engineers, field engineers, and vendors to position the team for success.
You will plan, design, and generate CAD drawings for Google's spaces in colocation facilities, supporting the full lifecycle from site acquisition to construction and commissioning across global data centers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in network or telecom engineering or related field.
- At least 3 years of networking protocols and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with two or more of: server/network hardware/software, data center infra/ops, or mechanical/electrical systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Draft Statement Of Work (SOW) design/engineering drawing sets.
- Design spaces that meet needs with flexibility for the future.
- Create LISP routines to automate drafting efficiencies.
- Review proposals, costs and submittals for colocation space builds.
- Understand entry-level electrical engineering concepts for deployments.
