Job summary

Google is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer/AutoCAD Drafter to support deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. You will generate CAD drawings for spaces in colocation facilities and work with PMs, engineers, and vendors to position the team for success.

The role covers design, automation via LISP, and cost/submittal review, with emphasis on scalable, reliable network infrastructure globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Network/Telecom Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience with networking protocols and troubleshooting.
• Experience with two or more: server hardware/software, network hardware/software, data center infrastructure/operations, or mechanical/electrical systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design spaces for deployment with flexibility for future needs.
• Create LISP routines to automate and improve drafting efficiencies.
• Review proposals, costs, and submittals for colocation spaces.
• Understand basic electrical engineering concepts related to deployments in data centers.
