Job summary

HJ Lubricators seeks a skilled marine service technician to perform mechanical and electronic service tasks on vessels worldwide. The role involves installations, testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and customer support, with extensive travel and independent work alongside teams.

Requirements include a minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in vessel engine room environments and fluent English. Preference for marine engineer background and sailing experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in installation, service, electrical and mechanical work in a vessel engine room environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Willing to travel approximately 130 days per year.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electronic installations and service tasks on marine vessels to ensure optimal system operation.
• Test and verify electrical projects on board vessels to maintain system functionality and safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues both internally and externally on vessels.
• Conduct overhauls of lubricators to restore and maintain equipment performance.
• Provide clear customer instructions and technical support during service visits on vessels.
• Follow technical instructions and diagram drawings accurately to complete service jobs.
• Adapt to working alone in remote locations and collaborate effectively with colleagues during joint tasks.
• Manage travel logistics and be prepared to travel approximately 130 days per year, including short-notice and public holiday deployments.
• Maintain high professional standards with a focus on quality and customer service in all tasks.
