Job summary

Affinity is expanding its LPG Desk in Singapore and is looking for a commercially driven broker to cover LPG freight or product. You will build your own client book and help grow our footprint in the East and the West.

The successful candidate will work closely with our global LPG desk, developing client relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and contributing to the continued growth of our LPG shipping and product broking business.

Qualifications

• Preferably 3 years of relevant experience in LPG shipbroking, LPG product broking, chartering or related commercial roles.
• Candidates with LPG shipping operations or market analyst backgrounds who show strong commercial aptitude and interest in broking are encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of LPG shipping, freight markets and/or physical LPG trading.
• Existing industry relationships and client networks are preferred but not essential.
• Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and capable of working independently as well as within a team.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English. Additional languages would be an advantage.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced international environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, traders and other industry participants.
• Identify and pursue commercial opportunities in LPG shipbroking, freight chartering and/or LPG product broking.
• Facilitate and negotiate spot fixtures, time charters and/or LPG cargo transactions.
• Provide timely market intelligence, commercial insights and analysis to clients.
• Collaborate with our international LPG desk to develop new business opportunities and expand our global client network.
• Assist in commercial negotiations, deal execution and follow-up on transactions.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
