Job summary

GE Vernova Singapore Services Pte. Ltd. seeks a Lead Repair Development Engineer within AMRT Joining to develop and industrialize joining technologies for the global repair network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding, Materials, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years of manufacturing experience with 5+ years in joining processes.
• Strong understanding of laser cladding, superalloy welding and brazing metallurgy, and NC machinery.
• Knowledge of industrial gas turbine components and processes is a plus.
• Strong team player with ability to collaborate with internal and external customers.
• Good understanding of lean methodology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel at least 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Develop new manufacturing and repair process technology to assist component teams in implementing repair strategies or fulfilling factory NPI requirements.
• Create a validation plan for repair materials and laser cladding process technology with New Repair Introduction engineers.
• Ensure successful transfer of development processes and validate repair service centers' qualifications and certifications for their repair procedures.
• Execute design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and company standards.
• Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of joining processes including welding and brazing to address engineering challenges.
• Assure proper documentation of technical data per engineering policies and procedures.
• Provide continuous improvement support and seek opportunities to enhance processes across the repair network.
• Collaborate with supply chain, component teams, productivity departments, and other GE organizations to identify opportunities for projects and improvements.
