Job summary

DADACONSULTANTS PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a General Counsel to serve as the firm's senior legal authority, owning global regulatory, governance and legal matters across operations.

The role oversees regulatory affairs, corporate transactions, IP and employment matters, risk management, and a cross-border legal team, coordinating with regulators and external counsel to protect the firm's interests.

Qualifications

• LL.B., J.D., or equivalent and admitted to practice in Hong Kong, Singapore, New York, or England & Wales.
• Minimum 12 years PQE with in-house hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, investment bank, or asset manager.
• Deep knowledge across securities regulation, derivatives, fund formation, or financial services M&A.
• Track record of managing relationships with financial regulators (MAS, SFC, SEC, FCA, or equivalent).
• Proven leadership in building and managing cross-border legal and compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory and Market Advisory: principal legal advisor on trading, market conduct, and securities regulation.
• Corporate and Transactional: oversee fund formation, M&A, ventures, and agreements.
• Intellectual Property, Employment, and Disputes: direct IP strategy and employment matters; manage disputes with external counsel.
• Governance and Compliance Oversight: lead Legal & Compliance Department and coordinate with regulators.
• External Counsel and Provider Management: build relationships with top law firms and compliance providers.
