Job summary

Singapore Corporate Counsel Association seeks a seasoned Group General Counsel to safeguard the Groups interests by delivering professional support in legal review, contract management, regulatory compliance and corporate governance across the Group. This role reports to the Group CEO and Executive Director.

The ideal candidate will exercise independent legal judgment, advise the Board, coordinate external counsel, and ensure governance frameworks and policies align with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in law or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in legal/compliance/corporate secretarial or regulatory functions (oil & gas sector a plus).
• Strong understanding of internal controls, contract management, governance, risk & regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal review, contract management, regulatory compliance and corporate governance support to safeguard the Group0s interests.
• Coordinate and manage external legal counsel on litigation, regulatory, corporate and transactional matters.
• Advise the Board and senior management on legal risk, regulatory matters and strategic objectives.
• Ensure SGX/NMC-like listing and disclosure readiness where applicable and maintain governance frameworks.
