Royal Ocean Marine in Singapore seeks an experienced freight trading professional to manage market analysis, trading execution, and portfolio risk across dry bulk and tanker segments.

You will build relationships with shipowners, charterers, and brokers, oversee voyage economics, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced, international trading environment.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of freight trading or related desk experience.
• Deep understanding of global maritime trade and charter party agreements (GENCON, NYPE, Shelltime, etc.).
• Proficiency in freight calculations, voyage estimation, and risk–reward assessments.
• Familiarity with FFA trading and bunker hedging preferred.

Responsabilités

• Market Analysis & Intelligence: track and analyze freight markets to identify arbitrage opportunities.
• Source, structure, and execute dry bulk/tanker freight transactions to optimize margins.
• Develop and leverage strong counterparty relationships with shipowners, charterers, and brokers.
• Negotiate freight rates, demurrage rates, and charter party terms.
• Monitor FFAs and hedge freight exposure where applicable.
• Calculate voyage estimates including laytime, bunker, and port costs to maximize earnings.
• Collaborate with Post-Fixture Ops, Laytime Analysts, and Risk teams for execution.
• Maintain real-time records of positions, exposure, vessel availability, and client communications.
• Expand trading footprint across geographies by onboarding new counterparties.
• Represent the brand at maritime events and client engagements.
