Job summary

ByteDance's global data center operation team is seeking a highly capable engineer to lead commissioning efforts and review MEP designs for hyperscale facilities. You will collaborate with global teams to ensure design integrity and project success.

You will oversee testing from L1 to L5, assess risks, and help ensure reliable, scalable data center infrastructure while maintaining clear communication across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or HVAC.
• Lead a testing and commissioning team to perform L1 to L5 commissioning tests to validate design.
• Review Data center infrastructure drawings and standards.
• Electrical and/or mechanical experience with generators, chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, UPS and sub-distribution.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clarity and detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate and review Data Center MEP Design and other necessary disciplines for new data center builds to assess effectiveness and stability.
• Support technical management and technical evaluation for global Data center infrastructure project procurement.
• Participate in Commissioning and Testing Discussions to determine required tests to verify design elements.
• Support the DC Engineering FM team to understand how to overcome design limitations and risks.
• Through on-site inspections, identify risks in the Data center infrastructure to ensure secure and stable operation.
