Job summary

Rex Commodities PTE. LTD. is seeking a Market Research Analyst to conduct market research and analysis to support the Company's physical commodities trading activities and business development.

The role involves researching commodity markets, industry trends, price movements, trade flows and economic developments, and preparing reports to guide management decisions. You will monitor international trade and supply chain developments and assess potential suppliers and buyers to expand business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, History or a related discipline.
• Strong research, analytical and information-gathering skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyse market information and prepare clear reports.
• Interest in international trade, commodities markets and global economic developments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Relevant experience in market research, commodities trading, international trade or a related field is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Research commodity markets, industry trends, supply and demand, and price movements.
• Analyse market information, trade flows and relevant economic developments.
• Prepare market research reports and analytical summaries to support management's business decisions.
• Monitor international trade, logistics and supply chain developments affecting commodity markets.
• Research potential suppliers, buyers, trading counterparties and new business opportunities.
• Maintain market information databases and provide regular updates to management.
