Job summary

Fuku is seeking a Backend Engineer for Globalization to build multi-region infrastructure and data compliance platforms supporting international growth. The role emphasizes 0-to-1 architectural work, AI-enabled tooling, and cross-functional collaboration across Legal, Security, and Product teams.

The position requires Mandarin and will be based in Singapore, with five days onsite in the CBD. Candidates should have strong backend experience and interest in AI-native development across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI or related discipline.
• Proficiency in at least one mainstream programming language, preferably Java or Go, with 3–8 years of production experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, networking, OS, architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve global multi-region architecture for a large-scale platform.
• Develop scalable backend services and infrastructure for international operations.
• Own engineering lifecycle from design to production delivery.
• Balance scalability with data compliance and operational needs.
