SINGAPORE UNIVERSITY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (SUSS) invites applications for a lecturer-researcher to join the Gerontology cluster in the S R Nathan School of Human Development. The role involves teaching and conducting research in Gerontology and related fields, contributing to program development and community engagement.

Candidates should hold a PhD in Gerontology or related field, with a strong publication record and experience in securing research funding.

Qualifications

• A PhD or equivalent in Gerontology, Aging Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in ageing-related research, teaching, or practice.
• Strong publication record and ability to secure research funding.
• Experience in curriculum development, programme leadership, or community-based aging projects is an advantage.
• Passion for lifelong learning, community engagement, and public education in ageing.

Responsibilities

• Design and teach courses under the Gerontology Programmes.
• Support the administrative and internationalization of gerontology programmes.
• Conduct impactful and community based research on ageing-related issues.
• Develop and enhance gerontology programmes, including curriculum design and student mentoring.
• Engage with community organizations, policymakers, and industry partners to promote aging-related initiatives and Gerontology Programmes.
• Contribute to university service, including committee work and academic events.
