Avensys is seeking a highly skilled Generative AI Engineer to join our Singapore-based team. You will deliver AI-based production software, focusing on GenAI, RAG workloads, and enterprise-grade AI solutions for banking, finance, and healthcare clients.

You will architect and implement scalable AI systems, including Bedrock integration, vector search, and retrieval-grounding, while ensuring responsible AI practices and strong API integration.

What you need

• 5+ years building AI based production software (applied ML delivery), with recent hands-on (2+ years) experience in GenAI .
• Real experience with Amazon Bedrock — Knowledge Bases, guardrails, and agent orchestration.
• You've built a RAG system that made it to production: chunking, embeddings, vector search, retrieval tuning, and grounding.
• Strong Python. You write clean service code and know your way around async APIs.
• AWS depth across containerised compute (ECS/Fargate), serverless functions, object and NoSQL storage, managed search, and relational databases.
• Comfortable with prompt engineering and knowing when a prompt problem is actually a retrieval problem.
• You've worked with LLM evaluation and care about measuring quality, not just shipping.
• REST API design and integration work, ideally against a managed API gateway.
• Managed vector / hybrid search tuning at scale.
• Chatbot/Agentic AI usecases development for enterprise clients.
• Responsible-AI work — PII handling, content safety, audit trails.

Nice to have

• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or OpenTofu) and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• React, if you want to touch admin/console frontends.
• Testing with pytest, load-testing tools, and end-to-end UI automation.
• Familiarity with data-privacy expectations for regulated clients in Singapore
