Job summary

CTCI SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Gas System Lead Engineer to oversee the technical and engineering management of Frontend FAB gas systems, covering planning, design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning.

You will ensure gas supply capacity, quality, safety and reliability to meet high-volume manufacturing requirements. The role involves coordinating with Process, Chemical, Electrical, I&C, Facilities and Safety teams on site in Woodlands North, Singapore, under a 36-month

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering relevant to gas systems.
• Minimum 8+ years in gas systems, semiconductor FAB, or high-tech facilities.
• Hands-on experience with bulk and specialty gas systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design Frontend FAB gas systems including capacity, supply architecture, pressure and purity.
• Evaluate Bulk and Specialty Gas systems and equipment per process requirements.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts and vendor documents.
• Coordinate interfaces with Process, Chemical, Electrical, I&C, Facilities and Safety teams.
• Prepare technical specs, conduct bid evaluations, review vendor data.
• Oversee construction, RFIs, design changes, installation and commissioning.
• Lead gas system testing, purging, leak testing and performance verification.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, safety standards and high-pressure gas regulations.
• Maintain system performance, reliability and redundancy for FAB processes.

Job Summary

Serve as the Gas System Lead Engineer, responsible for the overall technical and engineering management ofFrontend FAB gas systems, covering system planning, design, procurement, construction, interface coordination, testing and commissioning. Ensure gas supply capacity and quality, system safety, reliability and project requirements are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Gas System Design
   Plan and design Frontend FAB gas systems, including capacity, supply architecture, pressure, flow rate, purity, equipment, piping and layout.

2. Bulk & Specialty Gas Systems
   Evaluate and select Bulk Gas, Specialty Gas and related supply systems and equipment based on process and project requirements.

3. Engineering Documentation
   Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, data sheets, engineering calculations and Vendor documents.

4. Multidisciplinary Interface Coordination
   Coordinate Gas system interfaces with Process, Chemical, Exhaust, Electrical, I&C, Facilities and Safety systems.

5. Vendor & Technical Coordination
   Prepare technical specifications, conduct Technical Bid Evaluations, review Vendor data and manage technical clarifications.

6. Construction & Site Support
   Manage RFIs, design changes, equipment and piping installation, quality issues and site technical issues during construction.

7. Testing & Commissioning
   Lead Gas system testing, purging, leak testing, commissioning and gas supply quality and performance verification.

8. Safety & Regulatory Compliance
   Ensure Gas systems comply with applicable EHS requirements, safety standards and regulations for high-pressure, flammable, toxic and specialty gases.

9. System Performance & Reliability
   Ensure gas supply capacity, pressure, flow, purity, reliability and redundancy meet FAB process and high-volume manufacturing requirements.

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Safety Engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in gas systems, semiconductor FAB, high-tech facilities or industrial utility projects.
• Hands-on experience in gas system engineering, piping, equipment installation, construction coordination and commissioning.
• Experience withBulk Gas, Specialty Gas or semiconductor process gas systemsis highly preferred.
• Able to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, engineering drawings, layouts, isometrics and technical documents.
• Familiar with gas distribution systems, pressure control, gas cabinets, VMB/VMP and related safety systems.
• Experience in Vendor coordination, technical document review, RFI management and resolving site engineering issues.
• Experience in gas system testing, purging, leak testing and commissioning is preferred.
• Able to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with Clients, contractors, Vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good command of English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
• Willing to work in a site-based environment, including shifts or extended hours as required by the project.
• Relevant qualifications and licences must comply with applicable Singapore laws and regulatory requirements.
