Job summary

CTCI SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks a Chemical System Engineer to lead the technical engineering of chemical systems for semiconductor Frontend FAB facilities, covering planning, design, equipment selection, construction support, testing and commissioning.

The role ensures chemical supply capacity, quality, safety and system reliability to meet process and project requirements. Location is Woodlands North, Singapore with a 36-month contract.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Chemical/related engineering.
• 3+ years in chemical systems for semiconductor/FAB or high-tech facilities.
• Experience reading PFDs and P&IDs; knowledge of safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design FAB chemical systems: capacity, storage, distribution, piping, layout.
• Support bulk/specialty chemical supply and distribution.
• Review tanks, pumps, valves, piping, and related equipment.
• Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, data sheets and specs.
• Coordinate interfaces with Process, Electrical, Safety, and Facilities.

Job Summary

Serve as a Chemical System Engineer, responsible for the technical engineering of Chemical systems for semiconductor Frontend FAB facilities, including system planning, design, equipment selection, construction support, interface coordination, testing and commissioning. Ensure chemical supply capacity, quality, safety and system reliability meet semiconductor process and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Chemical System Design
   Plan and design FAB Chemical systems, including chemical supply capacity, storage, distribution, equipment, piping and layout.
2. Chemical Supply & Distribution
   Support the development of bulk and specialty chemical supply and distribution systems based on semiconductor process requirements.
3. Equipment & Piping
   Support the selection and technical review of chemical tanks, pumps, valves, piping systems, delivery equipment and related components.
4. Engineering Documentation
   Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, data sheets, equipment specifications, calculations and related technical documents.
5. Multidisciplinary Interface Coordination
   Coordinate Chemical system interfaces with Process, Gas, UPW, WWT, Drainage, Exhaust, Electrical, I&C, Facilities and Safety systems.
6. Vendor & Technical Coordination
   Support technical specifications, Vendor Data Review, Technical Bid Evaluation and technical clarifications.
7. Construction & Site Support
   Support equipment and piping installation, RFIs, design changes, quality inspections and resolution of site technical issues.
8. Testing & Commissioning
   Support system testing, flushing, leak testing, commissioning and performance verification.
9. Safety & Compliance
   Ensure Chemical systems comply with EHS requirements, chemical handling standards and applicable Singapore regulations.
10. System Troubleshooting & Optimization
    Troubleshoot chemical supply, pressure, flow, quality and equipment issues, and support system improvement and optimization.

Requirements

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Chemical systems, semiconductor FAB, high-tech facilities or industrial utility projects.
• Hands-on experience in chemical supply systems, piping, equipment installation, construction coordination or commissioning.
• Experience with bulk chemicals, specialty chemicals or semiconductor chemical distribution systems is preferred.
• Able to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs, engineering drawings, layouts, isometrics and technical documents.
• Familiar with chemical storage, transfer, distribution, piping, leak detection and related safety systems.
• Experience in Vendor coordination, technical document review and resolving site engineering issues is an advantage.
• Experience in system testing, flushing, leak testing and commissioning is preferred.
• Good understanding of chemical handling, EHS requirements and Singapore regulatory requirements.
• Able to work independently on site and coordinate effectively with Clients, contractors, Vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Good command of English; proficiency in Chinese is an advantage.
• Willing to work in a site-based environment, including shifts or extended hours as required by the project.
• Relevant qualifications and licences must comply with applicable Singapore laws, regulations and authority requirements.
