Job summary

City Energy Pte. Ltd. seeks a Plant Operator to monitor gas production at Senoko Gasworks, ensuring smooth operation of gas making plants and ancillaries and addressing faults promptly.

The role requires a Diploma/Higher Nitec/Nitec in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years’ experience (oil & gas or petrochemical preferred). Work is on a 3-shift cycle, based at 26 Senoko Avenue, with shuttle service from Sembawang MRT.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher Nitec/Nitec in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience; oil & gas or petrochemical preferred.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team; good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare gas production figures and charts for analysis and archive.
• Monitor utilities consumption at Senoko Gasworks.
• Ensure the proper and efficient operation of gas making plants and their ancillaries.
• Address faults and breakdowns in gas making plants and their ancillaries.
• Manage production, quality control, storage and distribution of town gas from the gasworks.
• Initiate and coordinate with maintenance supervisor or contractors for plants and ancillary repair or servicing work.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations including the Workplace Safety and Health Act, the company’s safety and operation manuals and relevant local regulations.
