Job summary

MKS Controls & Automation Pte. Ltd. seeks a project engineer to oversee installation, testing and commissioning of Life Safety System gas detectors in semiconductor facilities.

You will coordinate with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure milestones are met while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The role requires hands-on E&I installation, troubleshooting, and calibration of gas-detection sensors, alarms and control panels, with strong documentation and risk-assessment

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Instrumentation, or relevant engineering field.
• Experience in Semicon projects, LSS, or gas detection systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of E&I installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with PLC, SCADA, and control system integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of LSS gas detectors in semiconductor facilities.
• Ensure project deliverables meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams for progress and issue resolution.
• Design, install, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems related to gas detection.
• Perform wiring, grounding, and integration of gas detection sensors, alarms, and control panels.
• Conduct loop checks, functional testing, and calibration of instruments.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Maintain project documentation including material submittals, method statements, and test reports.
• Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in gas detection systems and provide maintenance support.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis for gas detection installations.
• Perform site acceptance tests (SAT) and commissioning procedures; handover to clients.
• Provide training to end-users on system operation and maintenance.
