Job summary

Tencent is seeking an FX Quantitative Strategy Analyst to support the development and optimization of quantitative FX strategies within our cross-border payments business. You will leverage data-driven insights to improve strategy performance and strengthen the FX platform's data infrastructure.

You will collect and analyze FX data, monitor production strategies, and collaborate with business teams to deliver quantitative tools and insights that inform decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantitative analysis or development within a bank or financial institution.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and ability to identify meaningful trends.
• Solid knowledge of statistical analysis methods, data analysis and programming; able to run end-to-end analyses with AI tools.

Corporate Development Group (CDG) as the platform for the company's new business incubation and new business exploration, CDG is responsible for promoting development and innovation for important areas such as financial technology and advertising, as well as marketing services, including payment and financial applications. As a professional support platform, CDG also supports the company and various business groups in strategic planning, investments and mergers, investor relations and corporate global communications, marketing and public relations, and more.

We are looking for an FX Quantitative Strategy Analyst to support the development and optimization of quantitative FX strategies within our cross-border payments business, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance strategy performance, strengthen the FX platform's data infrastructure, and support business teams with quantitative tools and operational insights.

Responsibilities

1. Quantitative Analysis of FX Strategies

• Collect, organize, model, and analyze data accumulated by the FX platform, and identify new strategy opportunities based on data-driven insights.
• Quantitatively monitor and evaluate strategies deployed in production, identify underlying patterns and drivers from observed data, and optimize strategy performance under different market and business conditions.

2. Comprehensive Data Management for the FX Platform

• Based on strategy and business requirements, leverage available data resources to progressively build and enhance the FX platform's data infrastructure, while taking ownership of data quality.
• Understand business requirements and develop data-driven FX customer profiles to support business teams with quantitative tools and operational insights.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in quantitative analysis or quantitative development within a bank or other financial institution.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, with keen market insight and the ability to identify meaningful market trends and patterns.
• Solid knowledge of classical statistical analysis methods, with strong data analysis and programming skills. Ability to independently conduct the end-to-end data analysis process with the assistance of AI tools.
