Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore is seeking an FX Operations Officer to handle accurate processing of foreign exchange transactions arising from clients’ equity trades. You will support the Global Markets Equities business and ensure timely settlements while complying with regulatory and internal policies.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in treasury/cash management or settlement, with strong attention to detail, analytical ability, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in business, accounting, economics, or sciences.
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a treasury, cash management or settlement function.
• Candidates with back/middle office experience in financial institutions will also be considered.
• Fundamental understanding of equities, FX, and futures products.
• Team player, detail oriented and ability to manage deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify FX confirmations with counterparties and TRs/clients.
• Aggregate FX amounts for hedging and ensure pre-funding of brokers’ accounts.
• Prepare fund transfer instructions and confirm accurate execution by banks at day-end.
• Maintain account records by posting journal entries in the accounting system.
• Monitor foreign currency accounts to manage minimum balances and compliance.
• Prepare and upload daily house FX rates into internal systems on time.
• Assist Cash Management by verifying fund placement confirmations.
• Perform daily and month-end reconciliations of placements against bank statements.
• Validate banking charges and post related journal entries.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports related to FX exposures and compliance.
• Conduct risk/control reviews per Group policies (RCSA, CSA).
• Respond to ad-hoc queries from TRs.
• Apply automation, data analytics, and digital tools to improve efficiency and controls.
• Perform other duties within Finance Operations as assigned.
