Job description

We are seeking an experienced FX Derivatives Specialist to support the launch and growth of Barclays Private Bank's FX OTC Derivatives capability in Singapore. The role will act as the subject matter expert during the design, governance, implementation, and commercialisation phase, and subsequently partner with Relationship Managers, Investment Advisors and Sales teams to deliver tailored FX solutions for private banking clients. This includes advising on FX hedging, liquidity management, yield enhancement strategies and execution across spot, forwards, swaps, options and structured FX products.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of FX markets experience within private banking, wealth management, or institutional environments, with strong knowledge of FX products, pricing, execution, and trade lifecycle management. The role requires close collaboration with Trading, Operations, Legal, Compliance and Risk teams to ensure transactions are executed in line with MAS regulations, client suitability requirements and internal governance standards, while contributing to revenue growth, process improvements, and platform enhancement initiatives.

This role is regulated by Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

Purpose

To act as a bridge between Product teams and clients, providing in-depth knowledge and support for a specific range of products.

Accountabilities
  • Provision of SME expertise on specific products and services to customers and colleagues, including features, functionalities, benefits, limitations, risks and compliance
  • Understanding of market trends, new features, regulatory requirements and potential risks, and analysis of data obtained from sales figures and, customer feedback, to support the product development process, and communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders to improve product offerings.
  • Response to customer inquiries and obtain a detailed understanding of complex personal / corporate financial circumstances in order to provide options for suitable product solutions. Support with resolution of issues,and provision of guidance on product usage.
  • Assistance with the development and execution of marketing materials for the product, such as pitch materials and client presentations.
  • Participation in training sessions and workshops to share product knowledge and expertise with colleagues and other stakeholders.
