Job summary

CLSA is seeking an Assistant Settlement Manager in Singapore to lead daily settlement activities for futures and derivatives. You will ensure timely processing, manage cash and FX settlements, and handle option exercise/assignment while maintaining data accuracy.

You will perform detailed reconciliations, monitor regulatory requirements with MAS/SGX, and prepare reports for regulators and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the futures industry, including clearing & settlements, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and client margin control.
• Familiarity with SGX CW2, ION XTP, and XTP Clearing systems (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of MAS and SGX regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage settlement processes, including cash settlement, FX delivery, and option exercise/assignment.
• Excellent command of/fluent in both spoken and written English and Chinese to communicate with stakeholders in Greater China.

Responsibilities

• Manage clearing deadlines and ensure trades are processed in a timely manner, considering regulatory, client, and company requirements.
• Execute daily settlement activities for exchange-traded derivatives, ensuring timely and accurate settlement of trades.
• Manage the contract delivery process, including cash settlement, FX delivery, and option exercise/assignment.
• Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, and cash flows, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain static data within internal systems (client accounts, contract setup, fee/commission updates).
• Ensure settlements comply with MAS and SGX regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve settlement processes and systems to reduce operational risk.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly settlement reports to internal stakeholders and external regulators.
• Collaborate with trading, risk, compliance, and other teams for end-to-end processing.
