Job summary

VERNONS PTE. LTD. is seeking passionate swimming coaches in Singapore to deliver home-based lessons islandwide. You will follow our structured curriculum, teach learners from water confidence to stroke technique, and ensure safety at all times.

We offer a steady stream of students, admin and scheduling support, and opportunities for career growth within the team. Weekend and after-school slots are available, with ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1/2 year hands-on coaching experience in Singapore
• Recognised coaching/instructor qualification e.g. NROC-registered swimming coach or SwimSafer instructor
• Valid First Aid + CPR/AED; lifesaving qualification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured lessons across all ages and levels per curriculum
• Assess learners against SwimSafer milestones and progressions
• Plan progressive lesson plans tailored to each student
• Demonstrate and refine all four strokes, starts, turns and water safety
• Maintain poolside safety and follow emergency procedures
• Track attendance and progress using internal scheduling system
• Communicate progress and scheduling with parents professionally
• Coordinate with operations and customer-service on class scheduling and make-up lessons
• Uphold service standards and represent the brand professionally

About us

[Vernon's Group] is a fast-growing swimming education group in Singapore, operating across premium home-based private lessons, ActiveSG group classes, and multi-sport programmes. Our curriculum is aligned with AUSTSWIM, SwimSafer and ASCA standards, and we are a certified provider under the Singapore Aquatics framework. Due to growing demand, we are looking for passionate, reliable swimming coaches to join our team.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct safe, engaging and well-structured swimming lessons for learners of all ages (toddlers, children, teens and adults), from water confidence to competitive stroke technique
• Deliver lessons according to our structured curriculum and assess learners against SwimSafer stages / proficiency milestones
• Plan progressive lesson plans tailored to each student's level, goals and pace
• Demonstrate and correct all four competitive strokes, starts, turns and water safety skills
• Ensure poolside safety at all times and follow standard safety and emergency procedures
• Track each student's attendance, progress and remaining lessons via our internal scheduling system
• Communicate professionally and proactively with parents on progress, scheduling and feedback
• Coordinate with the operations and customer-service team on class scheduling and make-up lessons
• Uphold the company's service standards and represent the brand professionally at every lesson

Job Requirements

• Minimum [1/2] year(s) of hands-on swimming coaching experience in Singapore
• Recognised coaching/instructor qualification, e.g. NROC-registered Sport Coach (Swimming) , AUSTSWIM , SSC/NROC Swimming Coach , or SwimSafer Instructor certification
• Valid Standard First Aid + CPR/AED certification; lifesaving qualification (e.g. Bronze Medallion / Bronze Cross) is an advantage
• Strong technical knowledge of all four strokes and the SwimSafer programme
• Patient, energetic and confident teaching young children and beginners
• Able to commit to a regular weekly schedule, including weekends and weekday after-school/evening slots
• For home-based lessons: willing and able to travel islandwide between condominium/private pools
