Shared Table in Bishan Central is hiring a dedicated Kitchen Staff member to support chefs and maintain high standards of food prep, hygiene and presentation. This full-time role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and reliability in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will assist with ingredient prep, cooking support, inventory, and service flow, contributing to a collaborative and quality-driven kitchen culture. Training and staff meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen experience in a restaurant, catering facility, or similar setting.
• Strong focus on food safety and hygiene.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physically capable of standing long hours and lifting items.
• Able to follow recipes and work under pressure during busy times.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to take on extra duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process ingredients for cooking per recipes and standards.
• Assist in cooking and plating under senior chefs to ensure quality.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
• Manage food storage and inventory and follow safety protocols.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
• Support team during service and respond to requests promptly.
• Follow plating instructions to maintain consistency.
• Check expiry dates and report damaged or expired items.
