Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is hiring a Software Engineer for its Co-Development Business Unit in Singapore. You will design, develop, test, and deploy applications supporting government digital services and citizen-facing platforms, while collaborating with UX designers to meet user needs.

The role emphasizes frontend React.js work and backend Go/Node.js capabilities, with exposure to modern testing, databases, and cloud deployments. A collaborative, agile environment awaits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with modern web applications using JavaScript.
• Frontend development experience with React.js.
• Backend development using Go and/or Node.js is advantageous.
• Experience with JavaScript testing frameworks like Karma, Mocha, Chai, Sinon is advantageous.
• Experience with databases (relational and non-relational) and data handling in different environments.
• Experience with Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment on cloud services (AWS/PaaS or private servers) is a bonus.
• Experience with Agile software development lifecycle; Scrum is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems supporting government digital services and citizen-facing platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing applications and infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with UX designers to create product designs that meet user needs and government service requirements.
