Job summary

Plaud in Singapore is seeking a backend engineer to contribute to the Plaud Developer Platform, building core backend and platform capabilities for partner and third-party integrations, under guidance from senior engineers.

You will apply OAuth, access control, and multi-tenant patterns, design standardized APIs and developer onboarding, and collaborate with product, device, and AI service teams to ship robust, scalable solutions that improve engineering workflows.

Qualifications

• 1 year of backend engineering experience, with exposure to platform or API development
• Basic understanding of OAuth 2.0, authentication, and authorization concepts — hands-on experience a plus
• Some experience with API design or developer-facing tooling
• Eagerness to learn in a complex, multi-system environment
• Proactive attitude toward adopting AI tools to enhance personal productivity and engineering output
• Good communication skills; comfortable working across teams

Responsibilities

• Actively learn and apply AI tools to improve day-to-day engineering workflows — including documentation, testing, debugging, and code review
• Continuously improve platform stability, performance, and developer experience as part of a team effort
