Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to build high-quality, secure software.
• Strong debugging and reasoning skills.
• Experience with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript) and at least one web framework (React/Angular/Vue).
• Experience with Node.js/TypeScript is advantageous.
• Experience mentoring teammates and collaborating with UX and product teams.
• Ability to grasp business domain concepts and set technical direction.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, reliable, and secure platforms for GovTech products and services.
• Develop APIs, CMS, search, and knowledge services across platforms.
• Define interfaces, versioning, error handling, testing strategies, and documentation.
• Create reusable components and services to speed delivery.
• Build user-facing experiences in Product Portal, Docs Portal, and Quality Dashboard.
• Develop discovery features like search, filtering, recommendations, and navigation.
• Integrate with shared platform capabilities for a seamless adoption journey.
• Ensure high availability and resilience for thousands of daily users.
• Establish observability with monitoring, alerts, SLOs, and analytics.
• Automate testing and deployment to ship confidently and quickly.
• Gather feedback and prioritise improvements for the developer/agency experience.
• Produce onboarding flows and examples to reduce learning curve.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, UX, and stakeholders.
