Job summary

Capgemini is seeking a Software Engineer in Singapore to develop and maintain backend services (APIs, data pipelines) and frontend interfaces using our design system. You will step in as acting Tech Lead during planned absences, mentor junior engineers, and own features end-to-end from development through deployment in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3–6 years of software engineering experience across frontend and backend, strong REST API and React skills, and

Qualifications

3–6 years of software engineering experience with frontend and backend exposure
Solid backend skills: REST APIs, server-side logic, database design
Competent frontend: component-based UI (e.g. React) and state management
DevOps familiarity: CI/CD workflows, cloud deployments, observability
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
Experience leading or mentoring in a team setting

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain backend services — APIs, data pipelines, integrations
Build and iterate frontend interfaces using design system with quality and performance
Act as acting Tech Lead during absences and mentor Junior Engineer
Own features end-to-end from development to deployment and maintenance
Participate in planning, sprint execution and architectural discussions
Collaborate with PM and designer to ship user-facing features meeting velocity and UX targets
Flag technical risks and help teams make pragmatic trade-offs
