Job summary

ST Engineering is seeking a skilled Full Stack/Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Golang for backend and SvelteKit for frontend in Singapore. You will build and optimize GraphQL APIs, implement microservices, and tune PostgreSQL schemas while collaborating with product and design teams.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, code reviews, system architecture input, and performance tuning to deliver high-quality software across modular, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional full stack or backend experience.
• Strong proficiency in Golang for backend development.
• Proficient in SvelteKit or modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Strong SQL skills; experience with PostgreSQL and MS SQL.
• Familiar with CI/CD, testing, and version control.
• Excellent problem solving, debugging and communication skills.
• AWS project experience (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, API Gateway) is a plus.
• Experience building GraphQL APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Golang (backend) and SvelteKit (frontend).
• Focus more on maintenance of the system.
• Build, optimize, and maintain GraphQL APIs for data-driven applications.
• Implement microservices for modular, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Familiar with PostgreSQL databases, including schema design and query tuning.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and operations teams to deliver high-quality software.
• Ensure code quality through peer reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and drive engineering best practices.
• Support performance tuning of application systems.
