Job summary
Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) invites a Full Stack Engineer to join Design and Planning Lab (DPLab) and help build our internal 3D geospatial web application. You will design, implement, and review cloud-native features across deployments to ensure scalability, security and reliability.
You will work with Python, TypeScript and React, implement IaC with Terraform, set up DevOps pipelines, and integrate backend with frontend while meeting government security policies.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, Terraform.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline setup, preferably GitLab.
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, React.
- Experience with software engineering and system design.
- Experience with implementing best practices for system security.
- Experience in observability technologies.
- Experience designing or contributing to identity systems.
Responsibilities
- Understand business requirements and translate them to fit-for-purpose solutions.

Design & Planning Lab (DPLab) is a group within URA driving URA's Urban Planning & Design Technology Centre of Excellence (URBEX) efforts. Our teams with capabilities in software development, geospatial analytics, urban science, modelling & simulation, artificial intelligence / machine learning, data governance, management and engineering,work closely with planners, architects, policy makers across various agencies, as well as external partners, to generate insights and develop tools and solutions to tackle Singapore's urban planning challenges.
We are hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join our team developing our internal 3D geospatial web application. The primary function of this role would be to design, implement, and review cloud-native features for this geospatial platform across multiple deployments in different environments, to achieve business objectives of scalability, security and reliability.
