Job summary

Activate, a technology consultancy headquartered in Singapore, is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for a 36-month fixed-term contract. You will design, build, and deploy production-grade software powering AI solutions, collaborating with data scientists and business stakeholders.

The role emphasizes scalable web applications, APIs, cloud-native deployments, and modern development practices, including CI/CD, containerisation, and AI-enabled platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, software architecture, design patterns and clean coding practices.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with modern backend frameworks (e.g. FastAPI, Flask, Django, React).
• Experience building full-stack applications, including RESTful APIs, authentication, databases and frontend integration.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications using platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain production-grade software systems that power AI and data science solutions.
• Build scalable AI applications by integrating LLMs, retrieval systems, vector databases, agent frameworks and other AI tech.
• Engineer secure, reliable and maintainable software using CI/CD, automated testing, containerisation and cloud-native architectures.
• Contribute to evolution of AI engineering capabilities by developing reusable frameworks and developer tools.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve deployed AI systems for performance, scalability and security.
• Stay updated with emerging software engineering and AI technologies.
