Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd, Singapore, seeks an experienced AI Application Engineer to join the AI Portfolio & Acceleration Squad. You will refactor prototypes into production-grade AI apps, design AI-enabled solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and observable software systems.

You will work with cloud-native stacks and Azure AI services, ensuring governance, compliance, and rapid MVP-to-production transitions while maintaining strong engineering

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on software engineering experience across enterprise or cloud-native apps.
• Strong full-stack engineering with React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, .NET, or Java.
• Hands-on experience designing and integrating REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Experience building AI-enabled apps using LLMs, RAG, embeddings, agents, and orchestration frameworks.
• Working knowledge of Azure AI services (OpenAI, Foundry, Search, ML).
• Experience with secure SDLC, IAM, logging, and observability.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect / SAML / JWT and enterprise identity.
• CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Containerization and cloud deployment patterns; production support.
• Ability to assess prototype quality and production readiness.
• Familiarity with responsible AI & governance.
• Agile, product-focused delivery.

Responsibilities

• Refactor prototypes into production-grade solutions with clean architecture and secure APIs.
• Design, build and harden AI-enabled applications (chatbots, RAG solutions, workflow agents).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify outcomes, journeys, adoption metrics and readiness.
• Implement full-stack capabilities across frontend, backend, APIs, and data integration.
• Integrate applications with approved AI services and enterprise APIs.
• Apply secure and responsible AI patterns including prompt management and content safety controls.
• Develop reusable templates and playbooks for AI delivery.
• Support production-readiness assessments covering security, privacy and observability.
• Build automated test suites for AI apps and guardrails.
• Establish observability for AI apps including logs, latency, costs and metrics.
• Collaborate with platform engineers on deployment using CI/CD, containerization, and monitoring.
