This role offers the opportunity to grow your leadership capability, make a meaningful impact and help unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and technical guidance to Electrical & Automation Technicians, ensuring safe and reliable execution of maintenance activities.
  • Oversee maintenance, troubleshooting and repair for electrical, automation and instrumentation systems to maximise equipment uptime and support zero accidents, zero defects and zero waste.
  • Ensure all electrically‑driven equipment and related systems (e.g. HV/LV switchboards, transformers, UPS, battery chargers, capacitor banks, emergency generators) are maintained in good condition to minimise disruption to manufacturing.
  • Plan, prioritise and deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, shutdowns and equipment handovers, ensuring strong schedule adherence and coordination with Production and Utilities.
  • Support capital projects and equipment modifications, including installation, commissioning, qualification and handover into routine operations, in alignment with GSK Engineering and Quality standards.

  • Ensure maintenance activities are executed in accordance with EHS requirements, cGMP, Good Engineering Practice (GEP), Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and relevant GSK standards.
  • Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records in the site CMMS (e.g. SAP), supporting audit and regulatory readiness and performance management.
Basic Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechatronic or related Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands‑on engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. pharmaceutical, food, medical devices, chemical).
  • Practical experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, commissioning and qualification of electrical and automation systems.
  • Experience supervising technicians or leading small operational/maintenance teams, including planning work and managing priorities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EHS, quality, cGMP, GEP and Good Documentation Practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with effective written and verbal communication and the ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP) and validation of automation systems.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems and work order processes (e.g. SAP, CMMS), including PM/CM planning and reporting.
  • Experience delivering small to medium capital projects or engineering change controls.
  • Proven track record in continuous improvement, reliability engineering or asset care initiatives.
  • Experience coaching and developing technical teams, building a strong safety and quality culture.
