Job summary

ExxonMobil is seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to design, build, and support modern applications for traders, analysts, and commercial teams in Singapore. You will work with front-office desks and data platforms to enable informed decision-making in fast-moving markets.

The role emphasizes Python, JavaScript/React, REST APIs, and cloud familiarity, with collaboration across traders, quants, and technology professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or related field.
• Experience developing commercial or enterprise software applications using modern software engineering practices.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience building production-grade applications and services.
• Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining REST APIs and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience building data pipelines and data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain front-office applications supporting trading, market analytics, risk management, and optimization.
• Design and build scalable full-stack solutions leveraging modern front-end, back-end, and cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with traders, analysts, quants, and stakeholders to translate requirements into tech solutions.
• Create intuitive user interfaces, dashboards, and analytical workflows to improve decision-making.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and integrations for market data, trading systems, and analytics.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and data platforms for timely market, risk, and operational data.
• Develop tools to support pricing, forecasting, positioning, and trading workflows.
• Contribute to architecture, design, and best practices in software engineering.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with cloud, infra, and platform teams to deploy production solutions.
• Implement automated testing, CI/CD, version control, and coding standards.
• Identify opportunities to modernize legacy processes and improve front-office productivity.
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
