Job description
Front of House Supervisor — Mondo (Amoy Street, Singapore)

Mondo is a gelato–coffee–cocktail bar built on craft, curiosity, and a deep respect for ingredients. We’re looking for a Front of House Supervisor who is both operationally sharp and creatively attuned — someone who can run day‑to‑day operations with precision while also driving events, tastings, and off‑site collaborations that shape how people experience the brand. This role is hands‑on, people‑first, and suited for someone who thrives in a boutique, detail‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
  • Oversee boutique operations from opening to closing to ensure smooth, consistent service.
  • Uphold Mondo’s SOPs, hygiene standards, and service rituals across gelato, coffee, and cocktail service.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming boutique environment.
  • Lead and participate in service — scooping, brewing, batching simple drinks, handling the till, hosting guests.
Team Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor the FOH team through positive, clear communication.
  • Train new staff in technical skills, service standards, and product knowledge.
  • Foster a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.
Admin & Operational Essentials
  • Perform daily and weekly administrative duties: inventory tracking, ordering (coffee, beverages, supplies), scheduling, rostering, shift reports, incident logs.
  • Coordinate with back-of-house and suppliers to ensure stock, deliveries, and production timelines are aligned.
  • Oversee opening and closing checklists and ensure SOPs remain current and followed.
Creative Projects, Events & Tastings
  • Lead discussions, planning, and execution of off‑site activations, collaborations, and tasting events.
  • Coordinate logistics, staff planning, packing lists, and product quantities for events.
  • Work with the team on creative presentation, set‑ups, and ingredient showcasing.
  • Support content creation when needed.
Guest Experience & Service Excellence
  • Maintain a warm, attentive service experience that reflects Mondo’s brand values.
  • Resolve guest feedback with professionalism and initiative.
  • Anticipate guest needs and read the floor to maintain flow and ambience.
Sales & Performance
  • Review daily and weekly sales reports and identify insights to optimise product mix, staffing, and service flow.
  • Track sell‑through rates of flavours, pastries, and drinks, and suggest adjustments based on data.
  • Support the team in meeting boutique‑level sales targets.
Requirements
  • Experience in café, gelato, bar, or boutique hospitality environments.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Confident leading a small team with empathy.
  • Comfortable with both service work and back‑end operations.
  • Interest in flavours, ingredients, and creative food culture.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
Work Schedule
  • 5.5‑day work week.
  • Rotating shifts between opening and closing.
  • Availability for occasional off‑site events.
Why Join Mondo
  • Be part of a growing, design‑driven brand with a strong creative identity.
  • Work directly with founders on flavour launches, collaborations, and events.
  • Play a key role in shaping the guest experience and culture of the boutique.
