Job summary

Qualcomm in Singapore seeks a process development engineer to own Front-End yield performance and lead cross-functional improvement projects. You will perform wafer scrap analysis, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.

The role requires hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing, DOE/ SPC proficiency, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Materials or related field.
Experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication or high-volume electronics manufacturing.
Hands-on involvement in new technology introduction, process qualification, and yield improvement.

Responsibilities

Own Front-End process yield performance and drive continuous yield improvement.
Perform wafer scrap analysis and root-cause investigations.
Collaborate with process module engineers, manufacturing, quality, and equipment teams on yield excursions.
Develop corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence of issues.
Lead cross-functional investigations to improve process capability and robustness.
Capture lessons learned for organizational knowledge databases.
Design, execute, and analyze DOE to optimize process conditions.
Identify opportunities for baseline yield, cycle-time, and cost improvements.
Support new technology introductions and process qualifications.
Plan and execute process changes with risk assessment and qualification activities.
