Job Summary
Olympiad International School seeks a passionate French Teacher to deliver engaging lessons for Primary to Secondary students, enhancing their French language skills and cultural understanding aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum to Primary and Secondary students
- Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, projects, and examinations to inform instruction and reporting
- Differentiate teaching strategies to address diverse learning needs and promote language acquisition
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and student engagement
- Prepare students for Cambridge French assessments and examinations to ensure readiness and success
- Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning outcomes
- Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and development to foster collaboration
- Participate actively in school events, parent-teacher meetings, professional development, and staff meetings
- Support and contribute to the school’s vision, mission, and values through collaborative community involvement
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in French, Modern Languages, Education, or related field
- Recognized teaching qualification such as PGDE, Diploma in Education, or Teaching License
- Appropriate French language certification suitable for teaching levels, such as DELF/DALF, Degree in French Language or French Studies, or equivalent professional certification recognized by educational authorities
- Minimum 1 year of French language teaching experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience teaching both Primary and Secondary students
- Prior experience in a Cambridge International School environment
- Strong knowledge of Cambridge assessment standards and curriculum frameworks
- Excellent spoken and written French
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural school setting
