Job summary

WPP Production is seeking an exceptional editor to work with a major technology client, validating internal and customer-facing Retail Marketing content. You will supervise and rework copy originally written in U.S. English for the China market, ensuring accuracy, tone, and brand alignment.

The role is full-time freelance with no end date. You will collaborate with in-market and global teams, manage multiple projects, and uphold linguistic standards, using glossaries, style guides, and TM tools

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of copyediting/subediting experience for marketing and technical materials.
• Native Chinese speaker editing Simplified Chinese and English.
• Familiarity with U.S. English style and usage.

Responsibilities

• Validate internal and customer-facing content for multiple channels and formats.
• Review, rework, and approve copy from translation partners to ensure consistency.
• Apply cultural market insights to ensure content is appropriate for the target market.
• Perform transcreation and LQA as required.
• Leverage glossaries, style guides, and TM tools to maintain high standards.
• Ensure product, program and technical language is accurate and on-brand.
• Work independently and with cross-country teams to meet deadlines.
• Manage multiple projects with flexible, responsive prioritization.
• Guard the brand by keeping product and market knowledge up to date.
