Job summary

ByteDance is seeking a Fraud Risk Operations Specialist for Global Payment in Singapore. You will own end-to-end risk operations across payment scenarios, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth, compliant processing.

You will design scalable processes for new products, monitor performance, and resolve complex issues with cross-functional teams, all while maintaining strong English communication and hands-on operational leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• 3+ years in Fintech, e-commerce, or payment-related fields.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Strong problem-solving and data-driven mindset; able to perform data queries.

Responsibilities

• Own risk operations workflows across payment and business scenarios, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Partner with Risk Strategy, Product, Engineering, Customer Service and external payment partners to resolve bottlenecks.
• Design and roll out operations processes to support expansion, new payment products, and risk controls; define ownership and escalation paths.
• Act as operational point of contact for assigned domain at Specialist level; lead end-to-end diagnosis and cross-functional improvements.
• This role is onsite with a 5-day onsite work arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Own the risk operations workflows across payment and business scenarios, including customer complaints, appeals, and disputes. Monitor quality and efficiency, ensure consistent execution across internal teams, BPO agents, and AI agents.
• Partner with Risk Strategy, Product, Engineering, Customer Service, and external payment partners to resolve operational bottlenecks, improve customer experience.
• Design and roll out operations processes to support business expansion, new payment products, and emerging risk control touchpoints. Assess operational readiness, define ownership and escalation paths, and monitor post-launch performance.
• For the Specialist level: Act as the operational point of contact for an assigned business domain, lead end-to-end diagnosis of complex issues, and drive cross-functional improvement initiatives from problem definition through implementation and impact validation.
• This role will be based onsite at our office and will require a 5-day onsite work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification(s):
• - Bachelor’s degree or above.
• - Over 3 years of work experience in Fintech, E-commerce, or payment-related companies.
• - Proficient in English (oral and written) for regular collaboration with cross-regional teams and stakeholders.
• Preferred Qualification(s):
• - Preferably majored in Business, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• - Strong problem-solving and data-driven capability; able to identify patterns from cases, and able to conduct data query using SQL or dashboard tools.
• - High ownership, and strong cross-team collaboration capability.
