Job summary

Monee SG Private Limited is seeking a senior risk and anti-fraud leader to design and drive policies that protect ShopeePay growth and operational integrity in Southeast Asia. You will own the policy lifecycle, identify threats, and guide dashboards and analytics to detect anomalies.

You will partner with operations, product, and engineering to deliver risk-control solutions, review risk signals daily, and inform senior leadership with actionable insights and forward-looking policy decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management, fraud prevention, payments, financial services, or e-commerce.
• Proven ability to lead analysts, set clear priorities, and elevate analytical rigor.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data management, modeling, and statistics experience.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Track record translating data-driven insights into policies and operational strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of business risk and anti-fraud policies to safeguard growth and operational integrity.
• Own the risk policy lifecycle by identifying and neutralizing threats including account takeover, scam, and stolen card.
• Oversee development of risk indicators and fraud detection metrics with continuous monitoring and mitigation improvements.
• Partner with Local Operations, Product, and Engineering to refine requirements and deliver risk-control solutions.
• Review daily risk signals and trends, producing strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Assess business processes and market shifts to identify emerging risks and inform policy decisions.
• Design dashboards, monitoring frameworks, and analytical tools for accurate reporting and early anomaly detection.
• Drive continuous improvement across policies, workflows, and investigative practices through data-backed evaluations.

• Lead the design and execution of business risk and anti-fraud policies to safeguard ShopeePay’s growth and operational integrity.
• Own the risk policy lifecycle for ShopeePay by identifying and neutralizing key threats including account take over, scam and stolen card. Be responsible for protecting marketing budgets from promotion abuse, managing payment channel vulnerabilities, and ensuring all anti-fraud measures align with local compliance standards
• Oversee the development of key indicators and fraud detection metrics, ensuring continuous monitoring, timely flagging of risk exposures, and ongoing enhancement of mitigation strategies.
• Guide cross-functional alignment by partnering with Local Operations, Product, and Engineering teams to refine requirements and drive delivery of risk-control solutions.
• Review daily risk signals and operational trends, consolidating insights into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Assess business processes, market shifts, and competitive dynamics to identify emerging risks and inform forward-looking policy decisions.
• Provide direction on the design of dashboards, monitoring frameworks, and analytical tools that support accurate reporting and early detection of anomalies.
• Drive continuous improvement across policies, workflows, and investigative practices through data-backed evaluations and structured experimentation.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in risk management, fraud prevention, payments, financial services, or e-commerce.
• Demonstrated capability in leading and developing high-performing analysts, setting clear priorities, and elevating analytical rigor.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with practical experience in data management, modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong track record of translating data-driven insights into policies and operational strategies that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Comfort operating in fast-changing, ambiguous environments while maintaining accountability for results.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, able to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience in digital payments, e-wallets, banking, or related industries is preferred
