Monee in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Analyst to design and implement risk management policies for payments platforms and to refine anti-fraud controls. You will monitor risk exposure with data-driven metrics and collaborate with product, engineering, and local teams to ensure compliant, scalable solutions.

Ideal candidates bring a quantitative background, 1 year of risk or fraud prevention experience, and strong SQL/Python skills to translate insights into practical mitigation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year relevant experience in risk management, fraud prevention, payments, financial services, or e-commerce.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on experience in data management and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Proven ability to transform data insights into actionable strategies that drive tangible business impact.
• Able to navigate ambiguity and complexity while driving initiatives toward clear, quantifiable results.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies or anomalies.
• Strong communication skills, capable of presenting complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Prior experience in e-wallets, payments, banking, or e-commerce industries is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement business risk management policies for ShopeePay to ensure sustainable growth and compliance.
• Execute and refine anti-fraud policies to protect ShopeePay from ATO, stolen cards, and scams. You will take an active role in designing mitigation strategies for promotion abuse and payment channel risks, while supporting the practical implementation of compliance standards to safeguard our operational integrity.
• Establish key performance indicators and fraud detection metrics to monitor potential risk exposures, regularly reviewing and optimizing mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with Local teams to consolidate and refine system and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to guide implementation plans and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct data-driven analyses of daily risk exposure, presenting actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
