Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a dynamic FPGA Design Engineer to join our high-speed digital circuit team in Singapore. The role focuses on end-to-end FPGA/PLD development, from digital logic to hardware integration.

You will derive specifications, build test environments, run tests, and collaborate across global teams to ensure feature completeness and timing closure. Onsite with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with FPGA design, preferably with Verilog.
• Successfully completed complex designs from concept to production.
• Experience with architecture definition, system integration of FPGA design and strong logic design fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to derive specification based on product requirements.
• Experience in performing FPGA WCA (Worst Case Timing Analysis).
• Familiarity with PCIe, DDR5/4, I2C, SPI, RS232, MDIO, XAUI interfaces.
• Experience with Altera Quartus or Xilinx Vivado IDE including synthesis, simulation, place and route, timing closure.
• Experience developing directed tests for full chip test benches with Cadence IES, QuestaSim.
• SystemVerilog assertion experience is a plus.
• Python/Java scripting is an advantage.
• Exposure to debugging tools like oscilloscope and logic analyzers.
• Self-driven and able to work independently.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end FPGA/PLD development from digital logic design to integration with hardware.
• Derive specifications based on product requirements.
• Develop simulation and hardware test environments, plans, and test cases for FPGA.
• Execute test cases, debug and resolve issues to meet features.
• Collaborate with teammates on system validation and integration testing.
• Research and enable innovative solutions for cutting-edge designs; file patents where applicable.
• Own all aspects of assigned areas including verification.
