Job summary

Avanos Medical Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced FP&A Manager APAC to own the FP&A function for the APAC region, including sales reporting and leadership of the finance team.

You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to enable sound business decisions on a global scale. The role requires deep understanding of finance, strong leadership, and excellent communication with sales, marketing and supply chain teams across APAC.

Responsibilities

To further strengthen the AVANOS APAC team and prepare for future growth we are hiring an enthusiastic FP&A Manager APAC.

JOB POSITION SUMMARY

Take full ownership of FP&A activities for APAC region including sales reporting, provide leadership and work direction to the team members, lead task forces and/or individually contribute to the APAC business team and perform a wide range of financial and operational analysis to facilitate sound business decisions.

The position entails a source of advanced business knowledge and problem-solving capabilities involving a wide range of business &/or financial matters, the complexity of which is further intensified by the international aspects of the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Provides a source of business knowledge and problem-solving capabilities at business management levels, to assure sound analysis, recommendations and action programs in assignments involving a wide range of business or financial problems. Practically this means supervising the production of:

• Daily sales reports,
• Flash Net Sales on WD1
• Monthly Net Sales Dashboard per category/region
• Quarterly Analysis of Change for Net Sales Value
• Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions
• Opex analysis
• Monthly analysis on category and market results with special focus on sales and gross profit performance

2. Oversees financial evaluations of APAC strategic business plans to ensure timely and profitable business decisions, and financial screening of completed projects to determine profitability and achievement of original objectives. Also ensures that project requests meet senior management expectations in terms of clear, concise and thorough presentation and communication

3. Partners with the APAC sales & marketing directors and Supply Chain director to coordinate and lead the preparation of annual budget, quarterly financial forecasts, fortnightly/monthly commercial review meetings, product launch assessment, go-to-market Strategies (direct/distributor)

4. Organizes, provides work direction to, and motivates the team, either directly or through task force responsibility, to ensure effective business planning and financial control and to effect necessary actions consistent with management of the business for long-range profitability. Demonstrates a commitment to quality performance through personal example by adopting a customer-based philosophy in the level of service provided

5. Search for process optimization and data quality enrichment through Continuous Improvement /LEAN techniques. Contributes to global financial systems enhancement

6. Translates financial information into meaningful insights for decision making. Effectively communicates with business partners about results, market environment and Global Health Care projects impacting the business strategy. To raise the finance acumen of country business teams through meetings and regular contacts.

PROFILE

• The candidate must have a broad appreciation and understanding of economics, finance, business management and the interrelationships of these disciplines
• Extensive10+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, other staff assignments and team leadership roles is important. Health Care market knowledge/experience and manufacturing environment experience would be a 'nice-to-have’.
• Strong generic and functional skills are required along with solid analytical & problem-solving skills
• Generics kills such as communication, organizational and personal sensitivity are extremely important as this position interacts daily with a wide range of business functions (sales, marketing, supply chain, senior management)
• An advanced degree or professional accreditation, for example A Certified Chartered Accountant is desirable
• Strong spoken and written English is a must
• High level of autonomy, flexibility and the ability to deal with different organizations, people and business problems on a worldwide basis is necessary
• Experience in at least one ERP system is desirable and expertise in MS Office (especially MS Excel) is necessary
