Job summary

Michael Page Singapore is hiring an FP&A Assistant Manager to join the regional finance team in Singapore. You will partner with senior leaders to deliver forward-looking financial analysis across Asia Pacific markets and contribute to strategic decision-making.

You will lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and develop Power BI dashboards to drive performance and efficiency, while collaborating with commercial, operations and supply chain teams across the region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years FP&A experience.
• Experience in commercial finance or management reporting.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
• Advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency.
• Experience in regional or multinational environments is advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning exercises across assigned business units and markets.
• Prepare monthly management reports, performance dashboards, and financial presentations for senior management.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and identify key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Analyse sales, gross margin, operating expenses, profitability, and working capital performance.
• Partner with commercial, operations, supply chain, and finance teams to support business initiatives and enhance performance.
• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, management reporting tools, and data visualisation capabilities.
• Drive process improvements, reporting automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Support regional reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of accurate financial information.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and business profitability.

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing forward-looking financial analysis and business insights to support commercial and operational decision-making across the region.

• Prepare monthly management reports, performance dashboards, and financial presentations for senior management.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis and identify key business drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Analyse sales, gross margin, operating expenses, profitability, and working capital performance.
• Partner closely with commercial, operations, supply chain, and finance teams to support business initiatives and enhance performance.
• Evaluate pricing, customer profitability, product margins, and investment opportunities.
• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, management reporting tools, and data visualisation capabilities.
• Drive process improvements, reporting automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Support regional reporting requirements and ensure timely submission of accurate financial information.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve operational efficiency and business profitability.

The Successful Applicant

You are a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working with data, partnering with stakeholders, and influencing business decisions.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, management reporting, or business finance.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modelling.
• Proven ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong Power BI experience
• Experience working in a regional or multinational environment will be advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, analytical, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
