RED ALPHA CYBERSECURITY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Forward Integration Engineer (FIE) who will turn a working product into a customer-ready solution.

You will build integrations, write Python services, work with APIs and data, and troubleshoot real-world environments while engaging directly with customers to drive production deployments. You will participate in implementation sessions, customer calls, demos and production problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in software engineering or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related.

About the job

As a Forward Integration Engineer (FIE), you will take our product from "it works" to "it works for the customer."

You’ll build integrations, write Python services, work with APIs and data, troubleshoot real-world environments, and work directly with customers to get solutions into production. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of software engineering, cloud/infrastructure and customer delivery.

You won't be hidden behind a ticket queue, you'll be involved in implementation sessions, customer calls, demos and real production problems. You don't need to know everything on day one. We care more about strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity, problem-solving and ownership.

What you'll do

Build & Integrate

• Build integrations with customer APIs, databases, files, identity systems and enterprise services
• Develop backend and integration components in Python, including REST APIs, authentication, validation, retries, logging and testing
• Work with customer data: ingesting, validating, transforming and delivering reliable data pipelines or product features
• Support AI-enabled solutions such as RAG, tool calling and MCP-connected workflows

Deploy & Troubleshoot

• Help deploy solutions using Docker, CI/CD and cloud services
• Troubleshoot real-world issues involving DNS, firewalls, routing, VPNs, certificates, permissions and service accounts
• Investigate problems systematically, gather evidence and work with engineering teams to resolve them
• Grow into Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code as your experience develops

Work With Customers

• Join customer calls, demos, implementation sessions and incident discussions
• Translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions
• Explain technical problems clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Own problems through to a usable outcome and keep customers informed along the way
• Build trust by being responsive, technically credible and transparent

Make Things Better

• Write runbooks, architecture notes, API documentation and handover notes
• Build solutions that are tested, supportable and easy for other engineers to operate
• Identify recurring problems and help improve our deployment and implementation processes

What we're looking for

• 1–3 years of experience in software engineering, integration engineering, backend engineering, data engineering, cloud/infrastructure or a similar technical role
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical field
• Comfortable with Python, Git, command line, HTTP/REST, JSON and basic SQL
• Good understanding of software development fundamentals — testing, debugging, logging and version control
• Strong problem-solving habits: reproduce the issue, narrow down the cause, gather evidence and communicate clearly
• Able to explain technical concepts without hiding behind jargon
• Comfortable working directly with customers and collaborating across teams
• A strong sense of ownership — you care about whether the customer actually has a working solution, not just whether your code is complete
• Curious, adaptable and willing to learn unfamiliar technologies

Useful, but not required

Experience with any of these is a plus:

You are not expected to be an expert in all of these. Strong fundamentals and the ability to learn quickly matter more than a long technology checklist.

What good looks like after 12 months

• You can take a defined customer integration from requirements through deployment with limited supervision
• You can troubleshoot issues in unfamiliar customer environments and communicate clearly while the problem is unfolding
• Your code is tested, documented and supportable by another engineer
• You can explain technical problems to customers, even when you don't yet have the answer
• Customers see you as a technical partner, not simply the person who implements tickets
