Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering in NSW to lead a high-performing team of Forward Deployed Engineers and AI Engineers. You will partner with enterprise accounts to migrate to the lakehouse, build AI/GenAI systems, and unlock business value from data investments.

You will drive delivery excellence, mentor senior practitioners, and set governance for scalable engagements, with a focus on outcomes and customer impact across industries.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of people leadership experience building high-performing technical delivery teams or professional services.
• 5+ years hands-on experience as a technical solutions architect or data/AI engineer.
• Track record leading large-scale data migrations and AI/ML programs in enterprise environments.
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence at the C-suite level.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale Forward Deployed Engineering and AI Engineers across enterprise engagements.
• Partner with Account Executives and Field Engineering to define and deliver data and AI transformations.
• Establish governance, risk management, and quality standards for complex programs.
• Mentor and develop technical talent through structured pathways and coaching.
