Sopra Steria in Singapore is seeking an experienced Firewall Engineer to support a major European bank client. You will design, implement, and manage Fortinet-based firewall architectures in a regulated environment.

The role emphasizes project delivery, policy optimization, and collaboration with vendors, with a hybrid work model, generous leave, and comprehensive health coverage. A strong Fortinet NSE4 certification and 6–8 years of network security experience are required.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of experience in network security, focusing on firewall technologies.
• Hands-on Fortinet FortiGate design and/or implementation.
• Experience delivering firewall deployment projects in enterprise environments.
• Fortinet NSE4 certification is required.
• Strong understanding of VPNs, NAT, IPS and threat prevention.
• Experience in banking or financial services environments preferred.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy Fortinet firewall solutions.
• Lead or support end-to-end firewall projects including new installations.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize firewall policies for security best practices.
• Perform firewall rule reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors for security improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall and network security issues.
• Support change management, documentation, and handover processes.
