Job summary

Sopra Steria in Singapore seeks a seasoned Firewall Engineer to design, implement and manage Fortinet FortiGate firewall solutions for a European bank client in a regulated environment. You will lead or support enterprise firewall projects, configure policies, and ensure security best practices across the network infrastructure.

The role requires 6–8 years in network security with Fortinet experience, NSE4 certification, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–8 years of experience in network security with firewall focus.
• Hands-on Fortinet FortiGate experience in design and/or implementation.
• Fortinet NSE4 certification is required for this role.
• Strong knowledge of VPNs, NAT, IPS, and threat prevention.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy firewall solutions, primarily Fortinet FortiGate.
• Lead or support end-to-end firewall projects in enterprise environments.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize firewall policies per security best practices.
• Perform firewall rule reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to deliver security upgrades.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall and network security issues.
• Support change management, documentation, and handover processes.
